About me

I've been DM'ing for about 10 years now. I prefer to run D&D 5e, but I've played many other systems and am willing to learn others. I've run D&D 4e, GURPS 4e, Furry Pirates, TOON, Here's Some Fuckin' D&D, and two tabletop systems of my own design. I've also played in a Pathfinder 1e adventure and have extensively researched D&D 1e-3e, and Call of Cthulhu 7e. I enjoy writing original tabletop adventures, but am not opposed to running pre-written adventures if asked to. I've spent the majority of this career consuming articles, books, and videos on how to be the best DM I possibly can be, and I'm proud to now have a group of players who know I can handle anything thrown my way. My adventures are all homebrew. Sometimes, I'll come up with a specific idea for a game that I want to run, or I'll figure out what my players want and build a custom story around them. I make all my own maps, I do lots of research into pre-established lore and settings, I can write homebrew monsters, items, and races, and I can create other visuals like narrated videos. I am willing to listen to my players' feedback; if they don't like how something is being handled, I change it. If an encounter is no longer exciting or interesting, we skip to the end. I prefer tracking encumbrance, but if no one else does, then we won't. I am ready and willing to customize my DM'ing style to your preferences, but beware... there are rules. Outside of D&D, I love playing video games and making animatic reviews of them on my Youtube channel (The Void). I'm also a commission artist and a published author (Dimicatio series). My favorite games are the Final Fantasy and Dark Souls series, so I take a lot of inspiration from those.

GM style

I am an acting GM. I try to give every NPC a voice, mannerisms, and motivations for the things they do. I like doing accents, so try not to get offended by that, lol. I enjoy tactical combat a lot, whether it's against one huge boss monster or a couple dozen minions. I like dungeon-crawls, especially when they're labyrinthine deathtraps. I do my best to make the mundane interesting, like shopping or hitting an enemy with a sword for the 100th time.
