About Craig

I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons since the Summer of 1983 when my friends introduced me to the World of Greyhawk campaign setting. With a background in the video game industry, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most skilled game designers and producers, bringing their insights to my private games. My approach focuses on creating dynamic, living worlds where player choices drive the narrative, making each session unique and deeply engaging. I bring decades of experience across multiple D&D editions and other tabletop RPGs. My sessions emphasize exploration and combat, with a balanced mix of roleplay, offering a rich and immersive experience. My expertise in narrative structure and game mechanics ensures that every campaign is memorable and exciting.

How Craig runs games

I love celebrating all three pillars of play (combat, exploration, social) and try to run games that balance each. D&D has its roots in being a combat-based game, and I think that's all the more exciting when the other two pillars influence why a character is willing to face combat. I do my best to follow the rules as written and any table rules everyone agrees to. I focus on this so the game works as expected, and nobody ever hears, "You can't do that!" when they use a spell or ability as it's written. As a DM, I love letting the dice do the talking. I'm there to run a world that plays out the consequences (good and bad) of character decisions, not force them. The players aren't my opponents; they are my friends who share the fun.
