About Crack

Hi, I'm Crack, I'm a single father and cook, I've been playing tabletop games for nearly a decade touch and go, starting with 5e, and have been playing consistently for about 6 years. I started GM-ing mid 2024, just because nobody else in my friend group would stick with it, and found myself quickly loving it as an outlet for my creative writing, I'm on my second campaign, having run the last from level 1-20. I enjoy making personalized stories, incorporating PC details into the story and making everybody feel like it is THEIR game and story. I ran my last game with 2014 5e rules, and have since switched to A5E. I've played in a variety of systems, 3d6, 2d20, d10, and of course our beloved d20. I have plenty of experience using Foundry VTT to create a living world for the players, music, effects, dynamic maps. I try to maintain a fun vibe, but make sure to treat serious moments with the drama they deserve. I hope to see you at my table!

Featured Prompts

I got started GMing...

By running Lost Mines of Phandelver for some friends, before leading that into a homebrewed campaign that went from levels 5-20

My favorite shows/movies are

Supernatural, Invincible, and House MD.

My favorite system of all Time is

The Witcher TRPG. 10/10.

How Crack runs games

I try to make a personalized game, finding what each player enjoys most and trying to sprinkle bits of that in, whether it be tactical combat, glory, romance etc. I love for players to engage with the world, even if it means talking to an NPC that has no name, they'll get a name and a purpose.

Featured Prompts

I prep by

Listening to orchestral music and getting lost in my imagination.

My favorite trope is...

The heroes sacrifice.

When it comes to voices

I'm good with providing tone to characters, but accents are not my strong suit.

Crack's ideal table

4 Players, perfect for everybody to feel heard and still have diversity, my table is usually pretty relaxed, lots of joking around with eachother, but taking the game itself seriously.

Featured Prompts

I love it when a player

Gets right into character and puts their emotions into dialogue.

I think min/maxing...

Is icky.

My table is not the place for...

Hate.
