About Connor
I’m a fantasy world builder, storyteller, teacher and full time nerd all rolled into one! Delivering custom D&D content that leans towards roleplay and combat, I pride myself in tailoring the experience to the needs of any given table. I like to build a welcoming environment and, despite my relaxed approach, am passionate about fun! As a frequent springboard into the hobby, I strive to make my games as accessible as possible. ESL (English as a Second Language)? Visually Oriented? Need recaps? I’m your guy.

I became a GM because
there were stories I wanted to tell. While friends would play pre-made adventures, I wanted to move beyond those pages. So we did! I've been world building longer than I have been roleplaying, which is... quite a long time.
My favorite system of all Time is
BESM 3rd Edition. Big Eyes, Small Mouth was my second or third system. The point-buy style made sense and imagination was the limit! I know there's a fourth edition floating around somewhere (Dyskami Publishing, I believe), but I have yet to get ahold of it.
When I'm not running games I'm...
slowly developing my own setting! It's a passion project - a world I've had in mind for ages. The hard part is getting it down on paper! I also enjoy learning to Play other systems - I want to find the perfect one to convey the story I've been building!
How Connor runs games
As a whole, I like to entertain, be easy going and attentive to my Player's needs. I really want players to have fun at my tables. I love teaching newcomers the hobby, so I lean more towards Rules as Written/Interpreted but don't object to a touch of Rule of Cool. Games are foremost collaborative storytelling, to me. While I try to match each player's energy and curiosity, I love it when they describe how their character casts a spell! Tell me how your critical hit cuts down your opponent! In turn, I bring descriptive scenes, vivid imagery and thoughtful worldbuilding. While my attention span works best for one shots, my heart loves continuity of character that can really be expanded on in Campaigns. For this reason, I intend to run one shots on here as loosely connected stories. I have the ability to do adaptive and pre-written works, but prefer to write original content.

I prep by
Going over the material, unwinding with some game music and making sure everyone is onboarded appropriately. I love a smooth experience for everyone, so ironing out those wrinkles when possible is where my head's at, before a session.
My games focus on...
Adventures of all sorts! I love stories where the Protagonists overcome big challenges. It helps me remember that even ordinary people can do extraordinary things!
Rules are...
Necessary, but not the be-all and end-all. I love it when players come up with creative actions and solutions, and will do my best to incorporate them into the game! Rules as Written with a dash of Rule of Cool.
Connor's ideal table
I like keeping a balance between humor and seriousness, provided respect is maintained throughout. I want people to be able to come to the table and be themselves. (And their character!).

I love it when a player
gets right into their character! Expressing excitement not just about the game, but their part in a story is a sign someone is a great fit for my table.
