About Codi
For the past seven years, I’ve been running tabletop games with a single goal: creating unforgettable, collaborative stories. As the co-host of the RPG YouTube channel Slow Your Role and a former developer on The Dungeon Coach’s DC20 system, my passion for this hobby runs deep. I’ve spent countless hours analyzing game mechanics across systems like DC20, D&D, and Shadowdark to figure out exactly what makes a game inherently fun. I believe in the therapeutic power of RPGs and strive to bring that spirit of fellowship, creativity, and pure excitement to every single session I run.

How Codi runs games
I excel at drawing out rich, character-driven moments, creating a welcoming space where players can truly inhabit their roles. By maintaining a strong command of narrative momentum, I keep the energy high so the game never gets bogged down in details. I thrive on the unexpected, cultivating a relaxed atmosphere that allows me to pivot effortlessly when the party goes off-script. Ultimately, I am highly adept at knowing when to bend the rules to serve the story, always prioritizing unforgettable, fun moments over rigid technicalities.

Codi's ideal table
I am not too picky. As long as you come willing to have fun, be selfless, supportive of others, kind and welcoming then you will be at the right table. This kind of spirit going in to a game naturally encourages roleplaying, engaging narrative, and even combat with stakes.
