About Shaun
For more than 30 years, I've been exploring tabletop worlds—and for most of that time, I've been the one behind the screen bringing them to life. Lately, most of my games have been in Pathfinder 2e, but before that it was D&D and GURPS. I combine heroic storytelling, tactical combat, memorable characters, dangerous choices, and worlds that feel alive. I believe TTRPGs are about collaborative storytelling, and so I expect my players to do more than simply follow a plot — but help create it. Expect cinematic encounters, intriguing NPCs, mysteries to unravel, ancient ruins to explore, moments of heroism, and the occasional decision that makes everyone at the table wonder, "Are we really going to do this?" I run games using Foundry VTT, with immersive maps, dynamic lighting, and music to make online play feel as close as possible to sitting around a great gaming table. Mostly, my aim is to ensure that everyone has a great time. Whether you're a Pathfinder veteran looking for your next epic campaign or completely new to tabletop RPGs, you're welcome at my table. Bring your character. Bring your imagination. I'll bring the world.

How Shaun runs games
Expect an adventure where your choices matter. My games balance immersive roleplay, cinematic storytelling and tactical combat. I enjoy creating encounters that are about more than just doing damage. Alternative goals, smart tactics, creative ideas and good teamwork should be rewarded — even if sometimes the dice will have other plans! Roleplay is a big part of my games. I create memorable NPCs with their own motivations, personalities and agendas, and I love giving players opportunities to negotiate, investigate, deceive, persuade, threaten or simply have a great conversation. Character backstories are expected, and I try to weave these into the wider campaign, so your character has a genuine stake in the story. I try to design combats where the goal isn't always about doing damage. I tend to aim for one significant fight per session. Expect encounters where positioning, teamwork, terrain and clever use of abilities can make the difference between victory and defeat. I tend to favour cool story development over hardline obedience to the rules, but understand that the rules are there to give everyone a common framework to engage with the story. House rules should be agreed upon beforehand by everyone, and players should always feel they have agency. Above all, my table is collaborative. I'm here to create a story outline, but you're here to decide how that endpoint is reached and how the story ultimately concludes.
Shaun's ideal table
I like my players to be engaged and attentive. I know that not everyone is going to be the centre of attention all the time, and life happens, but I hope that everyone is invested in the collaborative storytelling and eager for the emergent story to be as good as we can collectively make it.
