About Falafel
Hi, I’m Falafel—a former dancer trained in Ballet and Contemporary dance, turned full-production Dungeon Master. In dance, you learn early on that every movement, sound, and beat must evoke raw emotion. When I transitioned from the stage to behind the DM screen, I brought that exact same artistic rigor, discipline, and passion for performance with me. Storytelling is my new stage, and my primary goal is to throw the spotlight onto my players, giving them the platform to be the star of an incredible story.

My favorite movie is Coraline. I’ve watched it so many times that I can follow the entire film just by listening. From rainy afternoons to late-night study sessions, it’s a constant comfort that feels like an old friend during quiet moments.
People are always surprised when I tell them
I used to do ballet, as it rarely gets linked to Dungeons & Dragons. Yet both have shaped me equally, teaching me that art requires patience and dedication. Whether mastering a leap or a platform like Roll20, the mechanics are just tools to serve the ultimate goal: creating meaningful art

When I’m not running games, you can find me in the garden. I find watching plants grow genuinely magical; seeing your time and care pay off with fresh fruit and bright flowers is incredibly fulfilling.
How Falafel runs games
I run immersive, player-driven D&D games that balance cinematic roleplay with tactical combat. I blend official modules with my own custom narratives, I create high-production atmospheres using dynamic virtual tabletop tools, curated soundscapes, and distinct NPC voice acting. I maintain a fair, accessible table by using rules as written as a solid baseline while prioritizing the "Rule of Cool" and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for everyone at the table.

I prep by
My prep style centers on complete mastery of the source material. Once I understand a module’s core narrative, I freely customize it—refining the pacing, adding rich detail, and putting my personal twist on the world. My proudest work so far is my running campaign of The Wild Beyond the Witchlight.
My games focus on...
My game focuses on pure ambiance and emotional immersion. The music, world design, narration, and voice acting work in harmony to set the stage, placing players at the center of the story to create a cohesive, unforgettable experience.
When it comes to voices
My inspiration for voices comes from everywhere—movies, TV, and interesting people I encounter in daily life. I listen beyond accents to capture the nuances: cadence, speed, and subtle enunciations. I'm a natural people-watcher, endlessly fascinated by how different individuals express themselves.
