About Fate

I'm Fate, and I've been running Vampire: the Masquerade for over a year now. I've started playing TTRPGs through D&D (many such cases), but it felt lacking in a narrative sense. I've chosen VtM as I like vampires and horror. Started by running it for my girlfriend, and then went on to run multiple oneshots and three chronicles. I'm a Biomedicine student, which is quite useful when I veer into body horror. Generally, I'm a fan of horror movies: I find them thrilling and enrapturing; I also enjoy the social commentary they offer.

How Fate runs games

I tend to focus on morality and choices as the main part of my sessions. I am a fan of horror movies, and I find that the scariest parts are not the monsters themselves: no, it's the characters wading into the darkness to confront them. I prefer street-level games; I find that they are better for immersion and allow players to think in terms of real world. I focus on roleplay and character moments: I find them more interesting than action. Generally, I would describe my games as a mix of horror, political drama and thriller. My games are friendly to beginner and LGBTQIA+ players.
