About DM Nick
My name is Nick and I have 3 years of GM-ing experience in dungeons and dragons 5th edition. Since watching Lord of the Rings in theaters at 4 years old I've had a deep love for fantasy and fantasy worlds. In my free time if I'm not prepping for my next session I usually am spending time taking care of my dogs, gaming, or at the gym.

How DM Nick runs games
I like to build big worlds and play small with unique homebrewed mechanics, powerful homebrew magic items, and whimsical NPCs. I prefer rule of cool and am open to unique and fun ways to approach the game from my players. My focus for storytelling are clear stakes, cohesive worldbuilding, roleplay first with combat coming second, and aiming for epic and fun moments.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
The nerdy offspring of Peter Jackson and Zack Snyder
When it comes to voices
There will be at least one character who sounds like Patrick Warburton
DM Nick's ideal table
All players are welcome. My table usually focuses on roleplay first and finding humor even in the more serious moments. Combat focused players will still have plenty to do but I wouldn’t expect war games or strict raw rulings on both players or monsters. I like to create unique and interesting homebrew NPCs, lore, and magic items.

I love it when a player
Is active in roleplaying, shows interest in other player characters and the world, describes what they're actions look like in combat, and know how to share the spotlight with other player characters when it's their turn.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Try to break the game or worry more about how powerful their builds are rather than focusing on the table having fun (please don't try to make a rail gun out of the townsfolk). Likewise, being on your phone and or not paying attention for the whole game can hurt everyone's experience.
My perfect party mix is
Druid, paladin, wizard, and bard.
