About Canyon

My name is Canyon - I am an avid reader and writer - I love fantasy and just fiction in general and that had led me to start playing DND. I started running a game for a group of friends and started playing in a few other games and really found a passion for this. We began our online presence as Dabbing Dragons and have been making content for youtube and spotify, and I am seeing what I can do to make a career of Dungeons and Dragons!

I became a GM because

I became a GM because I grew up writing fantasy and other fiction and when I started to play DND I found that a lot of people want to play but not everyone wants to run a game. I love it - building out worlds, characters and themes that others can interact with and make their own.

How Canyon runs games

I love the roleplay and the combat but I am all about character development and building the world and the story around the players. I do use a lot of theatre of the mind, and I like to take the players on a journey of imagination. I have worked quite a bit with new players to the game, and as someone who has a love of teaching I am able to help players learn the game and their characters along the way.

My ideal table has players who have no experience to players who have played forever. I love teaching the game to new people. Players who have a good sense of humor, are not afraid to take risks and players who want to become heroes!
