About Calvin
I've been playing RPGs for most of my life, and a DM and GM for a lot of that as well. I tend to be permissive, working with players to figure out how their characters can achieve their goals, both cinematic and story-wise. I love Daggerheart, because it looks like the best framework to accomplish this.

I got started GMing...
Because when I couldn't find someone to run the games I wanted, I starting running them myself.
My favorite shows/movies are
1) The Matrix series 2) The Dresden Files 3) Most Marvel movies and shows
My favorite system of all Time is
Aberrant. Superhero is my favorite genre, and I like the way the d10 system allowed for individual style.
How Calvin runs games
I've always tried to be a permissive GM, working with players to fulfill the goals and dreams of their characters. Negotiating actions and outcomes is always fun, and sometimes surprisingly gleeful! Sometimes adventures have goals set by the scenario, and sometimes players set the goals outside of that structure. Both are fun in their own way, and I welcome anyone wanting to tell a great story with friends.

Rules are...
Rules are guidelines to help decide unclear outcomes. I'm learning to rely more on cinematic experiences and player agency, and less relying on dice rolls.
When it comes to voices
I'm new at voices, but am slowly practicing and getting better.
Calvin's ideal table
My ideal table is players with adventurous characters. Players who want to explore a world, both internal with their characters and party, and external with the environment and story.

I love it when a player
I love when a player is able to use cinematic, descriptive language to add to the story and game. My favorites moments as a GM is when I get surprised and entertained.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Red flags in players is rudeness, bigotry, and aggression towards other players.
I think metagaming...
Metagaming can be fun in character building, as long as the players realize the world will have to be adapted to be challenging.
