About Kyle
Hello future adventurers! My name is Kyle and I have been a D&D 5e DM for my home games for years. Rules are important but more often than not I am prone to create new ones with group approval or go rule of cool. Very sandbox orientated but the best thing I think I offer is that I am a adaptable DM. If you like more structure I got you covered! If you want to add to the world and help develop it with me I am open to your suggestions! Want advice on optimizing your character sheet to your needs? I have plenty of advice to provide should you want it. I would love the opportunity to be your next DM and will ensure to try my best to guarantee you enjoy your professional game so let's get started champions! The world needs you! :D

I became a GM because
I love writing stories and thinking of new mechanics to plug into my games. The celebrity DM that I identify the most with when it comes to style and delivery is most likely Anthony Burch from Dungeons and Daddies. The "I'm going to weave a story into the stories my players want to tell" vibes.
I got started GMing...
After I joined a Skyrim fan page I got into DnD 5e then and still play with some of those members to this day. I am just wrapping up a campaign with them that has lasted 2 years now.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Love to play video games with my friends! Usually something cooperative like Medieval Dynasty, Palworld, ARK etc. but I also am into World of Warcraft and plenty of other genres like Cyberpunk 2077.
How Kyle runs games
I love grand worlds and intertwining plot points. Ever since high school I've been writing and D&D has allowed me to channel that passion. I especially love when I find a kindred spirit and allow my players to add to my worlds as well. This is a collaborative game after all and my players' enjoyment is my primary concern and will adapt to any style/ruleset that ensure that fun is the top priority!

I deal with rules issues by...
Providing my players the choice. Change of rules or specific situations will be up for change but if my players have a different idea or take issue with a ruling I leave it to the group as a whole to come to a consensus about what the ruling will be.
If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Peter Jackson. I yearn for the quality of the original LOTR trilogy.
Rules are...
More like guidelines anyway. Generally I do rules as written but if something just doesn't make sense then I am 100% willing to change it. Like how Baldur's Gate 3 made drinking a potion a bonus action instead of a full action. Or Guidance as a reaction.
Kyle's ideal table
At the end of the day it's all about having fun. To me this is a collaborative story telling game. My ideal table is a group of people who want to experience the story I have to tell and don't mind adding to the world in order to help immerse not only themselves but also me. If you decide to add that there's a tavern up the road and you've been friends with the tavernkeeper for years I am amped to meet them now! (Even though I am them lol) Players who are willing to bend the rules where needed and laugh at each others antics are a must as long as it is all in good fun and not putting one another down.

I love it when a player
adds to my world. Please tell me about your characters connections. Ask to visit shops I didn't set up. I love improving new things to the world for my players!
I think min/maxing...
is perfectly fine as long as you are not a glory hog about it. You've gone through the effort to learn the game and its mechanics and wish to utilize them to your advantage. I am not going to punish you for that. But that does not mean you get to steal the spotlight from your fellow players.
My table is not the place for...
I am fine with Rules as Written to a point. This is not a place for rules lawyers to complain everything is not done by the book. There is a place for rules, and there is a place for improv and adaptation.
