About Connor | Doyle's Dungeon
Hi! I'm Connor Doyle and I have 15+ years crafting memorable tabletop experiences! I love building collaborative stories, embracing lateral thinking and a generous helping of laughs. 💡 Rewards creative/lateral thinking - the answer isn't on your character sheet! 😈 Lots of shenanigans - turn the dungeon against itself! 🤝 Player agency - what you do matters and your changes are felt in the world 👥 Collaborative play - players have authorship over the world. 💻 24/7 VTT included! - login to tweak your character anytime! 🧠 Neurodivergent friendly - have you got a cool brain like me? Cool. 🙋 New player friendly - don’t know where to start? I can help! 😂 Memorable stories filled with laughs. Every table is different and I adjust my style based on the story we aim to tell, and every story I help tell is tense, memorable, and filled with adventure!

My favorite books are
The Stormlight Archive because of the incredible way Brandon Sanderson is able to portray mental illness and the road to recovery. The huge swords are pretty great too.
My favorite system of all Time is
Knave 2e by Ben Milton. It gives players tools, not rules, and allows them to come up with some of the wildest antics to overcome the challenges of the dungeon.
When I'm not running games I'm...
playing heavy metal with my cats Captain Jack and Bootstrap Bill
How Connor | Doyle's Dungeon runs games
Roleplaying games can do so much that other media, like Moves/TV/Games/etc, can't do, and I like to highlight those strengths in my games. I love shenanigans, lateral thinking, and laughs. I am an adherent to the rule of cool and play by the motto “ the answer isn’t on your character sheet”

I once ran a session...
where a player character held a doorway against a horde of orcs, sacrificing themselves to give their party members time to escape. Never be afraid to let your character die.
I prep by
asking what the world would look like if the players never came along. Then I make a sandbox full of tools for the players to play and experiment with.
My games focus on...
plucky upstart adventurers in way over their heads causing much mischief and narrowly escaping by the skin of their teeth!
Connor | Doyle's Dungeon's ideal table
New players welcome! I like a collaborative table that plans together, shares the spotlight, and isn't afraid to see their character go out in a blaze of glory!

I am for a vibe that's...
creative and collaborative, with players sharing the spotlight at the table.
I love it when a player
gives me a unique and completely unexpected solution to an obstacle
I think it's a red flag when players...
engage in racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or other garbage like that.
