About Wordsmiths Games | Michael
I am Michael. I have been GM-ing for four years now. I mainly run games in Foundry VTT, and I am a self taught sequence animator through Foundry. My previous job was working on the Mutants and Masterminds team. I was their lead animator for taking the table top game to the virtual space. Because of this experience, I love to incorporate custom animation in my games. I like to tailor these for my players to make the whole game feel more dynamic and immersive. I also have extensive knowledge of both Foundry and DND 5th Edition and have logged over 4000 hours into the table top. Additionally, I have several full length campaigns fully integrated in Foundry VTT ready to play, each chocked filled with custom, tailor-made homebrew for the specific campaign or the specific group. A few of my offerings include Curse of Strahd and JVC Perry's Call From the Deep. I personally love creating rich narrative driven campaigns with my groups as well as writing my own content to fit and enrich these player driven experiences. I look forward to creating more adventures in a professional setting.

I love both intense role-play as well as high-stakes combat. Personally, I like to tailor my DM style to the players and what they enjoy doing most. It is their game after all. The DM's job is to create the collaborative story telling aspect of the game fit for the characters and players. That being said, I love adding an unexpected twist in combat as well as incorporating story elements into it to keep players’ engaged and immersed.

you the players If one groups loves roleplay expect a roleplay heavy campaign if your group loves combat anticipate exciting tailor made combat. All in all I want to run a game that both players and GM will love and keep coming back to.
When it comes to voices
I love to do voices for each character. If I wasn't a DM I would want to be a voice actor so I am always aspiring to improve when it come to my character voices.

I love all people as long as they are respectful and courteous of both me and the others at the table. I'm happy to take min/maxers, roleplay enthusiasts, and beginners as I have taught at least a dozen people DND. But all in all everyone is welcome as I will cater make a game that you and I will both enjoy.

I think min/maxing...
Can be really fun if you combine it with roleplay if the character decisions make sense. Min/maxing and roleplay are not separate but best when combined. I have no issue with it as long you don't take the spotlight from everyone else and allow me the opportunity to shine it upon you.
My perfect party mix is
filled with different characters and classes and carefully crafted backstories. This helps me as a DM to work with you to create those perfect character moments to fulfill what ever fantasy your looking for with this character.

Fighting if there is an issue I expect communication and level headedness this is a game we are here for a fun time. If you have an issue with me or another player we need to talk about it whether its through me or through messaging the player directly but if there is an issue let me know.
