About Vin
I have GM'd DnD since the early days--the box set and what they call 1e now. I know what THAC0 means. That being said, I have been playing/DMing 5e since 2019. I'm still adapting to the 2024 rules, but you can teach old dogs new tricks. I like all 3 pillars of DND, combat, roleplay, and exploration. I try to balance them out based on what my players are looking for.

running. No kidding, I have run 3 marathons, multiple half marathons, and a ton of shorter races. I'm also running a business. Public speaking is part of my role, and I think DMing helps me with that and vice versa.
How Vin runs games
I like to have fun! I want my players to have fun. I'll do voices/ accents/ sound effects to add to the games. I like roleplay, but also like to keep things moving. No shopping in session! I like to make combat tactical and strategic.There is a difference. I try to stick to rules as written as much as possible, but don't like getting bogged down in the minutiae. Like I said earlier, I like to keep things moving. Players are paying by the session, there should be as much gameplay packed in as possible. No "timeout, I need to look up this obscure rule", we can figure it out later and implement it in future sessions. Did I mention I like to have fun?!
