About Kevin Carter

Hey, I’m Kevin! I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs for well over a decade now, and I’ve been running games for most of that time. I’ve done everything from one-shots to full-blown campaigns that have lasted for years. I’ve always loved the creative side of world-building — coming up with unique regions, stories, and systems that pull players in and make them feel like part of something alive. I’m a huge fan of Dungeons & Dragons, but I also have a soft spot for Pokémon and other fantasy worlds. Over the years, I’ve even built my own crossover systems that blend the best of both — classic D&D-style adventure with Pokémon mechanics and storytelling. As a Game Master, I focus on player choice, pacing, and atmosphere. I love seeing my players get invested in their characters and make meaningful decisions that shape the world around them. At the table (or online), I try to keep the energy high and the story flexible. Whether you’re a veteran player or brand new to RPGs, I do my best to make sure everyone feels comfortable, involved, and excited to see what’s around the next corner.

How Kevin Carter runs games

My GM style is all about creating a living, breathing world that responds to the players. Every choice matters, and the story shifts in real ways depending on what you do. If you make a bold move, the world will remember it. If you help someone, that person might show up later when you need them most. If you cross the wrong line, there will be consequences that feel real and earned. I love when players realize that they’re not just following a script, they’re shaping the world with every decision. At my table, rewards are never handed out just because the story says so. You earn them through clever thinking, teamwork, and sometimes a bit of luck. I want my players to feel that sense of ownership over their journey, like their characters truly matter in the grand story we’re building together. When something great happens, it’s because you made it happen, and when things fall apart, that’s where the best stories begin.
