I started running games because...
I love storytelling in pretty any medium! I specifically went with DMing because I like the responsibility, freedom, and power of it and I enjoy making sure that the people I care about have a good time!
My favorite books are
Too many to list, but all of Tolkien's works, the Dresden Files, the Scholomance trilogy, or most of the books in Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere are all up there!
My favorite system of all Time is
Dungeons and Dragons though I am wanting to branch out into running other systems like World of Darkness or Call of Cthuhlu!
How Nathan Yeager runs games
I like to bring in unique NPCs throughout all my campaigns, from the strange to the endearing to the ominous! The more my players want to roleplay with me and each other, the better! I also work in some puzzles into combat to create new encounters for my players!

I once ran a session...
I ran a one-shot with less than two minutes to prepare for it since a session got cancelled. It turned out pretty well!
My games focus on...
Roleplay and combat are my overarching goals, but whatever is fun for my group is what I go for.
When it comes to voices
I like to have as much variety as I can in the voices and accents I use, though they might not resemble any real accents.
Nathan Yeager's ideal table
I don't have any specific preferences beyond having players who are excited to play! A group that gets along with each other is always best, but that will have to happen organically since this will likely be everyone's first time meeting each other.

I love it when a player
Any time a player gets carried away in their character!
I think it's a red flag when players...
I've had players pick on their fellow players for getting invested in the story and that is completely unacceptable at my table.
I think min/maxing...
Min/maxing is fine if the players and DM are on the same page with it. This is something I like to discuss ahead of time with my players.
