About Nicholas
Looking for a DM that can bring realism and customizability to your game? I'm a DM with twenty-five years of experience, starting with 2nd edition, all the way to 5th edition, and other rulesets like Shadowrun and Call of Cthulu. My style of play is "Yes, and..." instead of "No, because...". As your DM, my job is to weave the world you experience, and part of that is allowing and setting rules for cinematic or over the top uses of actions or magic items. I have a wealth of knowledge from natural healing, edible plants, and foraging experience, and can provide options for parties that don't just boil down to "magical potion or spell". These sourcebooks and optional home rules are provided free(Free as in free beer) for you to use. Whether you're looking to have a campaign on the high seas battling pirates, run a hardcore survival campaign in the desert, or explore the mystery and intrigue of a spy thriller in a city, I can weave you a world full of endless possibilities and an adventure to remember.

How Nicholas runs games
It's your story! Your characters are the lead, and the world will respond to your actions. Collapsing an iron mine may lead to a shortage, and have other knock on effects. Your choices matter. I play with a "Yes, and..." style instead of "No, because..." based around the Rule of Cool. Describe your actions and I will tell you how you can do that. I provide many optional rulesets for my games, and it's up to the group to vote them in. I have experience as a forager and mushroom hunter that I can bring to bear, and I have several homebrew sourcebooks available for free. I run complex worlds, often with knock on effects for how players dealt with previous actions on the world with realistic effects. A Iron mine going down may affect a kingdom, and several trade caravans being raided may lead to starvation in an area.
