About Aaron

One of my favorite things to do is gather with friends, sit around a table (in person or virtually), and roll some dice. Whether that’s with games like “Bang,” “Settlers of Catan,” or “Dungeons and Dragons,” the result is typically the same: a night of laughter and escapism. I’ve personally GM’d two long-term D&D campaigns and have loved every second of it. When running games, I have three main priorities: engagement, fun, and safety. I enjoy running homebrew campaigns that challenge my players to make choices that could change the trajectory of the campaign. I try to make these scenarios unique and develop encounters that keep my players on the edge of their seats. That being said, role-playing could be a very vulnerable thing. Because of this, I truly strive to create a welcoming and safe space for players of all experience levels and identities. There's nothing in the world like collaborative storytelling, and I'm beyond excited to step into a world of our creation.

How Aaron runs games

I enjoy collaborating with my players to weave together a world and scenario that ties into each character's backstory to make them feel like the main characters in this story. Although roleplaying is a large part of the games I run, it is completely up to what the player is comfortable with. For me, setting stakes is truly what engages players at the table. Whether this is through high-stakes combat scenarios, homebrew mechanics, or world-altering choices, expect to find something unique in every situation. With all that said, I am a huge fan of a good laugh, so hijinks and creative solutions are always welcome at my table!
