About Forging Fellowships
Howdy! My name is Devin Medeau. I have 17 years of experience in Tabletop gaming and have been a Dungeon Master for nearly 11 years since the initial release of 5th edition D&D. As a Dungeon Master I run my games under these four main principles: 1. Have fun! My main goal is to make sure everyone at my table is having a great time. D&D is a fantastic game and meant to be enjoyed. D&D can be whimsical, mirthful, chaotic, challenging, and even tragic at times. But at the end of the day it’s a game and the purpose is to have fun! 2. Your characters and decisions matter! A big part of my job as a Dungeon Master is to be your character's biggest fan. I am here to help you tell their story! I want your character to have moments to shine as they defy hardship and overcome odds! Together, we can tell a story where your characters have a lasting impact on the world around them and truly make a difference! 3. Tell a good story! D&D is a game of collaborative storytelling. At its core its purpose is to allow a group of people to get together and craft a compelling story. By the end of a game I want everyone to walk away having experienced a story they are proud they took part in! 4. Enjoy each other’s company! I’ve made some of my greatest friends through tabletop gaming, and I would like to share and foster those experiences with others. The world can be a tough place, so what better way to strengthen our bonds with our fellow peers than to enjoy some escapism together!

How Forging Fellowships runs games
My game style: 1. A homebrewed, open world! All games take place in the world of Extol. This is a self-crafted setting that has been shaped by players through the years over the course of multiple campaigns. You too will have the freedom to make an impact and leave your mark on the history of the world! 2. Foundry Virtual Tabletop - Games will take place in Foundry, a very powerful and highly customizable virtual tabletop. All books and materials will be freely available to you. Enjoy creating characters with ease, dynamic lighting and weather effects on maps, and a plethora of customizable features that can greatly increase the pace of play! 3. Equal parts roleplay, exploration, and combat! All three pillars of D&D will be equally represented in my campaigns. No matter what kind of player you are, you’ll find something to keep you invested in the game! 4. Rule of Cool - The rules of D&D can sometimes only take us so far. If you’ve got an idea for something awesome, I’ll work with you to help make it a reality! Everyone’s needs for fantasy fulfillment will be taken into careful consideration. 5. Safety Tools - Player’s will have control over what game content they would and wouldn’t like to see. Safety tools will include a Session 0, lines and veils content forms to privately set boundaries, X cards if necessary during sessions, and breaks if needed after tense moments.
