About Valkyrie Hansen

Hello! I am a fantasy artist and writer who can’t seem to get enough D&D into my schedule. Any time I have a slot in my week, I’m looking for players to come play pretend and roll some dice. I’ve been DMing since 2019, and have been playing since 2011, but I would argue that the real start date was the moment I could hold a pencil. For me, TTRPGs are all about collaboratively building a world together and watching the dice tell a story in that world. So grab a pencil and let’s get building!

How Valkyrie Hansen runs games

I like to strike a balance between role play and exciting combats, but I try to tailor my DMing to the table I have. I love politics intrigues, I love tying player backstories into the narrative, and I LOVE a delicious twist or a shocking reveal. My main goal however, is to make sure that every player feels safe to express themselves, excited to play, and happy when you log off for the night. I make sure everyone is on the same page about safety tools, and I do my best to address concerns quickly and compassionately.

I like a table that is willing to laugh, but will still take the story seriously. I want you to really get in character, in or out of combat. I’m a laid back person and DM, but I do put a lot of work into my games and I expect my players to be invested. If you're the type of player to make character playlists, cry at the end of campaigns, and laugh when you roll 4 nat 1s in a row, my table is the place for you.
