About Austin

I've been running tabletop games for several years now, often using home-brew systems based in Powered by the Apocalypse. I believe that rules and mechanics should support the storytelling process, but not get in the way. I am interested in how to make tabletop as fun and easy as possible, while giving agency and control to the players and game master.

How Austin runs games

I'm big into storytelling and roleplaying. I'm a fan of my players, and want them to overcome adversity. I don't believe in player elimination or killing off characters without consent. I am usually not interested in gritty settings. I would like everyone to have a good time, and for a compelling narrative to emerge. That said, I also like to respect the fiction and the rules, falling back on them when I'm otherwise unsure. Ultimately, the rule of cool and the rule of funny have a strong place at my table, as long as everyone is having a good time. Also I like to experiment with new systems and new ideas.
