About Gals & Pals
Hi I'm Steph! I've been palying TTRPGs for about 8 years and GMing on and off for 5. Mostly experienced with D&D 5e but have been branching out in the last few years and play in a weekly Starfinder stream on Dragonborn Industries. Last year I was invited to run some one shots for my local games cafe and offered the opportunity to pitch anything else I wanted. I immediately said I wanted to run some games for women and femme presenting folks and create a safe space to learn, play, and develop community. I thought we'd get about 3 sessions and be done but Gals & Pals has grown exponentially. In the past year we've held at least one game a month, hosted an event raising money for a women's charity, held socials, have an active discord, and had to bring in another GM to assist with themed specials. We are about to launch our online mini campaign and widen the net for accessibility and opportunity. Hence my application for Start Playing. I want to be able to make the Gals & Pals experience more accessible to all members of the community by offering online games to take away the difficulty that some people find in getting to a physical location.

How Gals & Pals runs games
My GM style is first and foremost rooted in safety and having a good time. I run light hearted games with a focus on silliness, fun, and trying new things. My one shots include a mix of rp, puzzles, and combat within a variety of themes. Whether it's your first game or your fiftieth, Gals & Pals is about having fun in a safe and welcoming environment.

Rules are...
guidelines. If you can use them and your sheet to justify something cool ... let's try it!
When it comes to voices
it's whatever you're comfortable with. As former theatre and linguistics kid, I like to go ham with accents and voices but I do not expect the same from my players.
