I became a GM because
I became GM because I wanted to tell stories may those be my stories or the Players stories that emerge through tabletop play
How Joesph runs games
My grounding is in fantasy writing and I like to mould compelling narratives, fun encounters, complex world building and gripping and engaging characters. I am also an egalitarian DM ensuring each character has there moment to shine, I like to ensure that all acts of particular valour are rewarded. I focus more on the story being created during the game rather than back stories. I have always found that in my stories, if a character starts off as a nobody and evolves into a great hero, the journey is more compelling and enriching, producing a greater sense of accomplishment. I tend to make encounters deadly but rewarding. Clever ideas and teamwork will be essential qualities for any of my games. I take inspiration from the works Michael Moorcock, J.R.R. Tolkien and Jack Vance, dying earth series.

Rules are...
Rules A tool used to tell a story a good RPG‘s system and mechanics should be equally matched by the narrative story tales sometimes these are not one-to-one and adjustments need to be made on the fly but for the most part I tried to keep the spirit of the rule when I run the game
Joesph 's ideal table
my Ideal table would be players willing to work together May that be narratively. mechanically when it comes to combat or just a think tank when it comes to solving puzzles this personal interplay between characters when making stories I find the most interesting
