About Kyuta
I am Kyuta, 28 years old, my pronouns are He/Him, I live in Australia. I love creating things, with TTRPGs being my creative outlet. I have three cute and adorable cats, Chiyo, Casanova and Theodore. Along with my eighteen year old dog Simon. I got into TTRPGs when some friends began talking about dungeons and dragons piquing my interest. A few weeks later I got a call talking with a friend about something unrelated. While talking the conversation switched to D&D and he began teaching me, then we put a group together and from there I was heavily invested. I have been playing for almost 5 years now, most of that time has been spent in two or more per week games as a player. I have tried other systems since then as well. Not long after starting to play D&D I began to run my own games, starting with Dragon of Icespire Peak, then quickly moving into Homebrew settings. I have been running games for about 4 years, most of that time I have been running two games a week, but as of 3 months ago I added a third to the mix. My passions have gone beyond just playing and running D&D, I create a lot of homebrew content for D&D as well as working on my own systems. For D&D I have created a Lycanthrope Class, around 8 subclasses, 100 magical items, with a whole lot more planned or in the process of completion just not finished. As for custom settings, I have been working on a One Piece inspired system as well as a high fantasy system that I have been calling Tales of Legends.

How Kyuta runs games
As a player of TTRPGs I enjoy all aspects of the game and this is reflected in my Game Master style. I do my best to include challenging combat, engaging roleplay, political intrigue, an investable story, and a fun time for everyone at the table. My goals whenever I run a game is to make sure that my players are enjoying themselves and making sure everyone is included. That to me is the bare minimum. I feel my strongest attribute as a Game Master is my capability to pull everyone a moment in a scene, asking how their character is feeling, or what they might be doing while events are happening. As for my weakest point as a Game Master, political intrigue for sure, that doesn't mean it isn't there, it just means I am working on improving that skill as I go. As a Game Master I think its important to regularly check in with your players see how they are finding the game, ask about things that have interested them, things they want to explore or just things they want more of, yes I know you want levels! It is also important to understand what type of story each player wants for their character and what the end goal for their character looks like. A Game Master isn't there to hinder the players, but to be an aid to telling the overall story everyone at the table is working on together.
