How Tyler Johnson runs games
My table is accepting of all types of people. LGBTQIA+ themes and characters are always represented and present in my stories, and players are encouraged to bring these elements to their characters if they are interested. My games are a story first type of game built around the character ideas brought forward by my players. Roleplay is my bread and butter! Nothing makes me happier than seeing my players emotionally invested in the story we tell together. Every players character and ideas are equally important, and I always encourage my tables to give their fellow players the spotlight and celebrate when someone else really shines. Combat is, of course, also present and something I enjoy running. I prefer running smaller scale combat scenarios, saving the larger scale stuff for the biggest moments within a campaign. Ultimately, combat should service the story though, so small scale combat doesn't mean murdering every NPC to collect their loot.
