About Chase
I am a RPG enthusiast and a story teller. I enjoy being able to gather with other folks to spin stories of myth, legend, intrigue and most importantly to roll Initiative. I have been playing D&D since late 2015 and DMing since lockdown in 2020 where I discovered a great love for telling more interesting stories. I eventually expanded to learning Savage Worlds and playing Star Wars: Saga. I believe that in this world were everything can seem so distant and difficult, Tabletop Games can give us moments of respite and bring us closer together.

I got started GMing...
Because some friends of mine wanted to play Curse of Strahd but no one wanted to GM and would rather have been playing. I decided that CoS would be a good way to get started Gming, and I definitely underestimated how much effort goes into running that module. We still had fun though.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Being a Husband and Dad. I enjoy cooking new and unique foods as well as playing video games and spending time with my friends. Life's too short to not enjoy being here.
How Chase runs games
My style of GMing puts a heavy focus on telling great stories, laughing with others, and enjoying being a part of memories that will last a lifetime. I can and will roll in front of players when asked and do like to let the dice tell as much of the story as possible, but not everything requires a roll to succeed. I greatly enjoy when players humor me and attempted to become members of the worlds I craft and get themselves plugged into the narrative. This is mostly informed by a love for telling stories that all players will remember for years to come. I am happy to run pre-made modules as well a homebrewing new content for players based on whatever the desires of those at the table. I do tend to prefer Mid-Fantasy settings, but I am also comfortable with High and Low Fantasy as well. I can run D&D 5E for any skill level from completely new players to seasoned veterans. I am also familiar enough with Savage Worlds if a more story and moment to moment excitement is preferred. I can also run Star Wars: Saga for those who want to be part of the Extended Star Wars Universe! I prefer games and settings that promote fun at the table, and provided enough of a challenge for players to feel like there are stakes, but if challenge needs to take a back seat then that is totally fine too.
Chase's ideal table
My tables have a Role Playing focus. As such, I try to avoid making every challenge a combat challenge (there are still no shortage of these be certain), and I try to mix in puzzles or social encounters or other forms of challenges to players. At the end of the day, if you want to be a part of a fun time and to tell a memorable story, then you will feel at home at my table.

I love it when a player
Leans into the character that they have created to really bring them to life at the table.
I think min/maxing...
is overrated. I always balance challenges around the players, so Min/Maxing won't ultimately make a difference to challenge level.
