About Mike

I’m primarily a D&D 5e Game Master, but I grew up playing older editions like AD&D and 3.5, which gave me a strong foundation in the game’s evolution. I’ve been GMing for several years now, running both long-term campaigns and one-shots, often customizing modules like Curse of Strahd to better tie in player backstories and create more immersive narratives. My GM style balances roleplay, exploration, and tactical combat, with a strong focus on making the world react to player choices. I enjoy tailoring encounters, creating homebrew mechanics, and building emotional story arcs that keep players invested. Tabletop RPGs have always been about storytelling and collaboration for me—and I love helping players bring their characters to life in meaningful ways.

How Mike runs games

My DM style blends immersive storytelling with player-driven decision-making. I favor 5e but draw from older editions for depth and structure. I heavily customize modules to align with character backstories and emotional arcs, often homebrewing mechanics, lore, and encounters to enhance the narrative. I like to challenge players with moral dilemmas, thematic puzzles, and tailored combat, keeping the world reactive and meaningful. My sessions are atmospheric, focused, and designed to make players feel like their choices shape the story.
