About Philanna
I'm a passionate storyteller with a background in psychology, education, and intercultural communication. Before becoming a Game Master, I worked as a teacher, narrative coach, and cross-cultural mentor. I bring that experience to the table—literally. While I’ve only been officially GMing for about a year, I have years of experience writing collaborative fiction and running character-driven narratives with small groups. I’m most inspired by emotionally immersive stories, deep roleplay, and moral dilemmas that make players pause and think. I specialize in curating emotionally resonant experiences where each player’s character arc matters. Whether it’s a political intrigue campaign or a gothic horror crawl, I build the world with my players, not just for them. My focus is always to make everyone feel seen, heard, and excited to return.

How Philanna runs games

Combat is meaningful and rare; decisions outside of initiative are where the real tension lives. I reward creativity, emotional risks, and out-of-the-box thinking. I love using safety tools, session zero worldbuilding, and collaborative storytelling to ensure everyone is invested. Whether you're a seasoned thespian or a nervous first-timer, my table is a safe space to explore character-driven stories. I also enjoy weaving in personal backstory arcs and giving each player at least one moment in the spotlight per session.
