About Alexandre De Lagrave (Maitre Raptor)
Hi! I'm Alex A.K.A Maitre Raptor Forever Game Master since I was 12. I ran multiple campaigns of DnD 3.5, 5e and pathfinder 1e. TTRPGs helped me a lot through middle and high school. Today, I'm a chess teacher. I see games as a way to learn and grow, and the best way to learn for kids. I am also about to complete my Master in ancient greek religion, so maybe I can consider myself a historian? lol?? [Panics in imposter syndrome] As a DM, I want to offer a safe and inclusive table where players are listened to. A table where dumb ideas turn into major quest. As an experienced Arbiter, I seek balance in rules and spirit of the game. But I also value fun above all ! I want to offer challenging games with hard encounters, logic-based puzzles and ethical dilemna [ I majored in philosophy, so expect some trolley problems].

How Alexandre De Lagrave (Maitre Raptor) runs games
I overprepare then improv on a random idea thrown by players. Then, I spend the next week figuring how to advance the story from there. Not very efficient but I hate rail roads. I just can't. I enjoy impactful hexcrawl, imaginative characters and Player agentivity. And dorky moments, puns and pop reference. I have 3 NPC voices : Noble, Tough Guy and Goblin. Look, i'm passionate about history, politics, philosophy, greco-roman mythology, Sci-fi [I'm a huge Star Trek and Dune fan], boardgames, music and outdoor. Also i'm Quebecois so expect that french-canadian accent, heh. Hardcore leftist here ! This affects the worlds I build. There will be class struggle, corrupt leaders and bully city guards. Law and Morality will contradict. Hiearchical structure are always bad. If you want to kiss boots, this is not the game for you. My table is a safe-space so NO SEXISM/RACISM and NO LGBTQ+phobia. Keep your hate for ficticious orcs, demons and necromancers.
