Oh, the adventures I have had! I have been playing and DM'ing D&D for over 30 years, and am a RedBox starter. I run a YouTube channel specifically to support other DMs running games using Foundry VTT, automations and add-on Modules, and have been building a full module for the Curse of Strahd campaign, which I am currently also running for an international group. I've been running games on Foundry for 18 months, but previously on Above VTT, and a LOT of face-to-face. I've run many games specifically aimed at new players to help them get started with this amazing hobby, but also have my own personal group of friends that I run for. Most of my experience is in running pre-made adventures, offering my own updates and twists to suit the player party.

GM Style

I run as RAW (Rules as Written), but Rule of Cool trumps all. I'm pretty adept at dealing with those player curve-balls that inevitably happen, and often make the adventure much more entertaining. I run a mix of social, combat and puzzles in my games, choosing a classic D&D style. Expect moral dilemmas, difficult choices and danger. Always danger. We don't do sexual content. My games are a safe place for all, and I have no issue chastising players that threaten that security. We're all here to have fun, and that is at the core of everything. Humour is appreciated, and you can expect that from me. I like players who are able to bring a characters' personality to life, but voices are optional. Players should be prepared to play heroes, not murder-hobos. Character deaths DO happen, but generally due to poor preparation by the players, or ignoring the blatant warnings (it's a REALLY big Owlbear that doesn't seem remotely intimidated by your little, flimsy sword). I will work with you to create a character that works for you and the intended adventure, and can provide guidance on choices if required. If you are new to D&D or TTRPGs, don't worry, you don't need to know anything at all! Learn through playing, not by reading books. The best way to start, is to start!
