About Dylan McKnight
My Name is Dylan, I'm GM from Ireland, who has been playing D&D and other TTRPG's for about 10 years. I am the DM for an Irish D&D Podcast called Hearthfire Tales, where we do a multitude of genres and styles of gameplay. I've gotten a lot of great opportunities from this, including being able to run games for the Voice Actors of Baldurs Gate 3's Wyll and Lae'zel at Dublin Comic Con, as well as being invited to run special events in Castles in Ireland. I also run games at various conventions around Ireland, and I'm very used to a wide variety of playstyles and games! I love Tabletop games because it gives me a chance to express myself, come together with like minded people, have fun, explore various genres and settings and generally just escape and immerse! I also LARP and make content on that, and generally, i just love all things fantasy!

How Dylan McKnight runs games
If you're at my table, you can expect interesting mechanics, a variety of social encounters, rich and diverse worlds, a good balance of Rules verus Cools, and lots of laughs interspersed with lots of drama! I am a very flexibile GM, but my personal favourite type of game is one that is story and roleplay focused, but doesn't sacrifice the rules in order to get there. I love big epic story moments, as well as big epic combats to back up those moments! I am not typically a minutiae tracker, and prefer to handwave small spending, ammunition tracking, encumberance etc, in favour with progressing the story and letting your characters shine through. I think all games should be FUN at their core, but I am very flexible in finding out what fun means for different tables!
