About me
As a former teacher of fifteen years who is shifting careers, I am a neurospicy lifelong learner with a passion for hosting safe, creative spaces that spark joy. Improv, stage acting, philosophy, and pedagogy inform my GM style. I've been performing onstage and in the classroom for over fifteen years in various capacities and vocations, and I first started my GM experience as a LARP assistant while being the head of the physical education department at a school. Teaching and GMing are surprisingly well-aligned occupations, and I've leaned into that. In the last six years, I have studied an incredible amount of TTRPG media in the form of actual play shows and podcasts, and I have been a part of almost exclusively online parties since getting any significant number of my friends to actually meet in person is next to impossible for a variety of reasons. I have spent more time as a player than as a GM, however I have led a fair number of campaigns with different groups. I have almost exclusively played Dungeons and Dragons 5e with the 2014 rules, however I am currently leading a group through the 2024 rules and working through the changes with that party. I won't deceive you into thinking that I am a "seasoned GM." I'm a decidedly pre-seasoned DM with the passion and chops to pull it off, and you all get to add the salt and spices to my experience. I look forward to playing at the table with you!
GM Style
My games are story-first, player-driven, and infused with heart, humor, and room to grow. I love collaborative storytelling and character-driven roleplay, and I’m passionate about creating immersive, emotionally resonant experiences where everyone at the table feels safe and seen. As a queer educator and performer with over fifteen years of experience crafting joyful, inclusive spaces, I specialize in reading the room and adapting on the fly—so whether you're here for drama, laughter, mystery, or mayhem, I’ll help us shape a world that reflects the players around it. Expect a healthy dose of improv, strong narrative arcs, and NPCs with their own motives and quirks. I enjoy weaving player backstories into the main storyline and building in-session moments that matter. Combat is cinematic and story-driven—I aim for momentum and meaning, not number-crunching marathons. Whether you’re here for clever tactics or quick, dramatic action, fights will move fast and serve the story. Inclusivity, consent, and tone-setting are foundational at my tables. I’m especially attuned to neurodivergent players, LGBTQIA+ folks, and those new to the game, and I’m always happy to accommodate different play styles, communication needs, and pacing preferences. If you're looking for a game that balances emotional depth with room for ridiculous shenanigans—and a GM who will cheer you on every step of the way—then we’ll get along just fine.
