About me

I am a tabletop enthusiast since the late 80s/early 90s, both as a player and GM. I am trained in theatre, with a focus on Shakespeare, Improv, and Directing. I love "finding the story" with engaged players and have completed several full-length campaigns over the years as well as many smaller, sometimes linked adventures. I am well versed in a number of systems in addition to 5e and the lore of many established settings; I am also willing to teach. I can run games across a variety of genres and party sizes. My games will be primarily Discord-based with a leaning towards Theater of the Mind as I build proficiency with Roll20.

GM Style

I have a background in theatre, Shakespeare Improv & Directing. I have a distinctive natural speaking voice and can do some characters. I like telling dramatic stories about bold characters, especially those willing to work together (although I am very good at splitting the narrative while keeping all players engaged). I enjoy running meaningful & tactical combat, although I am only an intermediate chess player. You can expect paced sessions, attention to player/party dynamics, & and eagerness to work with players to help create characters that feel "baked-in" to the overarching setting or plot.
