About Jenna Abbott
Hey, I’m Jenna, 34, I've been an English teacher for seven years and have been playing D&D 5e since it came out. I’ve been a forever-DM for most of that time, running weekly games that focus on collaborative storytelling, immersion and roleplay. I love helping to create stories where every character has their moment to shine and feels deeply woven into the world. I believe in creating inclusive, fair, and welcoming spaces where everyone feels heard and valued—no drama, just good vibes. If you’re a beginner, no worries; I’m all about helping players learn and grow in the game.

I became a GM because
I absolutely love to provide a system that enables creative, imaginative people to do cool things! I've always been more of a behind-the-scenes person than a performer, so I like to run the machine that lets others show what they can do in a safe, inclusive and welcoming play environment.
How Jenna Abbott runs games
Yes, I do do the voices. I tend to make my NPCs really distinctive and likable, even if they're not very "nice". Combat and RAW are important to me, but they are not my focus. I prefer maintaining engagement, story and fun over getting bogged down with debates over the rules etc. While I do go by the rule of cool, there are certain behaviours that are disallowed at my table. This includes the usual: no murderhobos, player-vs-player, steamrollers (players who talk over others and want to do everything themselves), people who focus on playing to win and general rude/hateful behaviour. I LOVE players who play up other players, accept their losses gracefully for the purpose of story, who treat the NPCs like people, who enjoy listening when it's other players' turns and giving spotlight to others to see them shine.
