How Kelvin runs games

Im pretty flexible to the groups needs. I apply the rules, but am flexible based on many factors. I love roleplay. I strive to allow my players to really immerse and be able to live inside the story and world. To let them know that they are making unique choices that make a real difference. VOICES. I love voices. Please speak to animals. and npcs. and the dead. (someone should have this plz LOL)

Kelvin's ideal table

My ideal table has a party of open minded, immersing individuals that want to explore Barovia and grow your character and party. The #1 thing however.. is making sure that there is a balance between how much you and the other players get a spotlight. Everyone deserves a chance to speak, and to perform tasks. If everyone is self-conscious of themselves potentially talking too much.. the game runs 100% better :)

I think it's a red flag when players...

Main character energy. Give everyone a chance to speak and act. Be self aware and the whole group flourishes!

I think min/maxing...

Is overrated. Min/maxing just unbalances the game for you and the party. It's a DM's job to balance the game for everyone. Being OP just upsets that balance. I can re-balance it....... but it is sometimes not fun for the min/maxer.
