About GM Tea

My name is Thomas, and it'd be my pleasure to take you on your next adventure. I've been playing/DMing Dungeons and Dragons for 25 years, and I've been running 5e for the last 6 years fairly consistently. I've logged over 2k hours in Roll 20 and even more in Fantasy Grounds Unity. FGU is my preferred way to play online as I've become proficient in the automation. This allows me to focus more on running the game and giving you the enjoyable experience you deserve! All you will need is the demo version to play in my games, so no need to purchase anything extra. I will spend time to help set up and familiarize anyone that needs it to Fantasy Grounds Unity as it can be overwhelming at first. My games typically cover the three pillars of DND - Exploration - Roleplay - Combat. I try to even them out and can adapt to how the group wants to play. This is usually discussed in Session 0 while making characters. I run a lot of pre-generated modules as well as home-brew, but even the modules end up being home-brew by the end and extending past the book. I implement some homebrew rules to my games, all of which will be laid out, and they are there to help the flow of the game. An example of this is, everyone rolls initiative at the start of the session. When someone triggers combat, it is their turn, and we continue through initiative at that point. If combat triggers normally, we go into initiative normally.

How GM Tea runs games

Story focused with good combat. If players want a personal story hooked into the game, I am good with working that in. I also like to work in some dungeon crawling with some puzzles along the way.
