About Andrew G.
Looking for a DM who can bring your games to "that" next level? Well, look no further. my name is Andrew and I am that professional GM that you have been seeking! My focus is on crafting strong narratives and creative NPCS that will help (or hinder!) your characters on the adventure of their lifetime. However, I don't stop there. I will weave your characters' backstories and motivations deeply into the game's narrative. NPCs will be related to you in some way, and your character's choices will strongly impact the people, towns, and of course, the storyline they interact with. No matter if you are after deep character development or the deep-belly laugh moments that come along with TTGs, I offer plenty of powerful roleplaying opportunities for your characters. Rule of Cool will always trump the written book rules! My flexible, friendly, fun-loving style offers a fantastical and deep experience for players of all levels and walks of life. Let's build a story together!

How Andrew G. runs games
When it comes to creating experiences in D&D, nothing is more important than building fun and engaging times for the players. As a DM, that is exactly what I strive to do by maintaining a relaxing and fair environment for my players. This allows them to really let loose and flex their creativity as they respond too and affect the world around their characters. One thing I focus on doing in my games is building the world and situations around the characters and their backstories. I will tie in NPCs to your characters, have the situations reflect their abilities and goals, and build awesome battles with a combination of tactical play and roleplaying. I use a spiral approach, where there is a general storyline and world, however, I keep a loose grip on it and build the world as it's discovered by the characters, tied into them directly. While rules are important for any game experience, and I generally run RAW, I do have a few house rules that I feel make the game more exciting to play. For example, I typically offer a "Blank skill challenge", where you can use any ability to make a skill check (EG: Intelligence-Deception roll) as long as you can logically explain it. I also run my combat turns in tandem, where if you are next to each other in the initiative order, you act at the same time. This allows for creating combo moves and dynamic roleplay during combat. And of course, the Rule of Cool will write over most rules! If it gets in the way of fun, I will drop it. Finally, while I am not a voice actor, I strive to make each encounter with an NPC memorable, and want your character choices to actively affect and change the world. If you are looking for a DM who is dedicated to crafting exciting experiences where you get to see the immediate and long-term effects of your actions, you've found them!
