About me

Hi my name is Stewart, been creating games and running them now for over 30 years. Started all the way back in D&D 2nd ed and have played/run about 50+ different systems. Right now I am focusing on the Dragon Warriors system as I thought I could bring back a classic that has never been on this platform. I love being creative and put a lot of effort into making my games feel like fleshed out stories. I am no stranger to improv and well versed with having to create on the fly. (I once had to improv a weekly game with 6 hour sessions for an entire year.) I'm the kind of Dm that likes to see all players get their moment to shine but will also reward dedicated players for their creativity and efforts of making their characters come alive. When I'm not roleplaying, I play board games, watch movies, read comics, spend time with my lovely family and am an avid wrestling fan. I plan to run as a weekly event and am happy to be flexible with players if the time doesn't suit but still fits within my schedule. Feel free to reach out to me even if it's to say hi. Always happy for a chat and to help out fellow gamers. Look forward to seeing you at my table

GM Style

I like to feed off peoples passions for the direction of a game. If they are a serious group and all about the details then I am all here for it. At the same time I am happy for a game to be all laughs and as off the wall as possible. It ultimately comes down to the seriousness of the game and the group. Mostly I just want everyone to have a good time and enjoy the story, because what are we all here for if to not be a part of something fantastical?

Played a murder mystery in Dragon warriors. Gritty middle ages fantasy setting, very cool.

Longshot is a superb GM. His NPCs were each unique and believable with their own personalities, voices, and concerns. His descriptions of the setting made it concrete, believable, and compelling. Longshot also reacted well to our various ideas and shenanigans. There was a mystery to solve, and it was subtle but manageable. This was my first time playing Dragon Warriors, and the setting is based in historical Britain making it dark and convincing. Using magic can get you burned at the stake. Outsiders are viewed suspiciously.... I enjoyed the rules, which made me think of a OD&D version of 1st edition WFRP: grim and perilous with simpler rules and without the (to me) overpowered characters in 4e. I look forward to playing with Longshot again. Highly Recommended.

I was completely new to Dragon Warriors and thought that Longshot was an absolutely fantastic GM! Engaging, friendly, and incredibly welcoming, he made the game immersive and enjoyable from start to finish. His commitment to voice acting really brought the characters to life, making every interaction feel dynamic. He explained rules and mechanics clearly, ensuring that both newcomers and experienced players feel comfortable in the game.

I played in a Marvel Multiverse one-shot that Longshot ran. Most of us were new to the system and he was great at taking time to clarify rules and helping everyone get comfortable with the system. He also did a nice job creating an environment in which a group of strangers who had never played together before could relax and just have fun together. I would definitely play with him again.
