About AverageJoe
Hi there! My name is Joseph, and I’m a long time gamemaster, actor, and professional improviser. I’ve run and played TTRPGS for about 10 years now, starting with DnD 5e, and later branching out into other systems. I have a degree in Acting and Performance, I’ve worked at Queen and Rook Game Cafe as a Youth Dungeon master for 3 years, I’ve also worked at a larp camp called Mythik Camps, as well as an actor for the Sterling Renaissance Festival! Please reach out to me if you’re looking for an experienced game master, with a strong understanding of game mechanics, as well as experience in performing and Role-playing. I can’t wait to create amazing stories with you and your friends :)

How AverageJoe runs games
I focus on balancing narrative and game mechanics in a way that's most fun for the party, and I love getting into character and trying different voices. I love a chill and comedic type of campaign, but also campaigns with serious and grounded stakes. I'm a very Player Character focused Game Master, in that I always want to support backstories and tie them in with the plot!

AverageJoe's ideal table
My ideal table is one where we talk about expectations of our game, to make sure everyone is in on the fun. I love when players are supportive of each other's characters, and working as a team. Lastly, my ideal table is one where everyone is treated with respect.
