About Bailey
Heya, my name is Bailey (he/him). I'm 29 and I have a degree in Audio Engineering. I've been a geeky guy for all of my life, so when I began to understand what TTRPGs were, I simply couldn't get enough. I've been a TTRPG player for two years, starting with D&D 5e but slowly branching off into different systems that I love like Daggerheart and Draw Steel. I started playing around the time Baldur's Gate 3 came out, and I quickly slotted into the GM role at tables with friends and family. I've successfully ran multiple campaigns, both prewritten and homebrew, and my players always tell me they have a great time. Here are some of my inspirations and each of their themes that I like to use in my games: >Star Wars (Mysticism) >The Witcher (Destiny and Fate) >The Elder Scrolls (Pantheon + world integration) >Xenoblade Chronicles (mind-bending world set pieces) >Earthbound and Mother 3 (humor and heart) >The Legend of Zelda series (Adventure and Dungeon design) >Final Fantasy (Aesthetic) >Monster Hunter (Boss design) >Kingdom Hearts (Childlike Light vs Dark) >Fighting games like Street Fighter and Guilty Gear (Style) >Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Fate's effects on physics) >Hunter X Hunter (Unique enemy capabilities) >One Piece (Found family) To name a few. If you are a player in my games and Homebrew settings, expect some of these themes and concepts to be mixed together and represented.

My favorite shows/movies are
Huge fan of anime classics like Princess Mononoke, Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball, or One Piece. I love the first two Star Wars Trilogies and some of the TV shows. I am an animation enthusiast so Arcane and the Spiderverse movies are up there. As for a newer favorite, Sinners was incredible!
When I'm not running games I'm...
Prepping games! Jk I'm usually hanging out with my girlfriend or I'm playing video games like Final Fantasy 14, any Elder Scrolls game, a fighting game, or other RPG/JRPGs. I just love games!
How Bailey runs games
I heavily value thoughtful roleplay in my games. I want my players to feel like they can safely speak in character, react the way their character would, and consider the internal reality of every character at the table. I value comradery and mutual respect for every player at the table. We all want to have a good time here, so lets create an environment free of judgement. My combat encounters are never intended to kill the PC's outright. Generally speaking, my combats range from "Cakewalk" to "Challenging but Fair." If a combat is ever intended to be party-lethal, I will notify the players either explicitly or with heavy narrative emphasis.

My favorite trope is...
Strong character conviction. Luffy trusts his friends no matter what, Dio wants to screw over the Joestar bloodline and will bend fate to do it, and the Sith Lords are hellbent on domination. I love a good moral quandry, but when one is destroyed by hardy conviction, thats the good stuff.
My games focus on...
Thoughtful roleplay and player choices. I love to make monsters and combat encounters, but they should at least serve a purpose.
When it comes to voices
I love doing voices and I encourage others to do them as well!
Bailey's ideal table
Players who are curious about the world and about each other will fit at my table. Players who are accepting and creative fit at my table. Players who are ambitious fit at my table.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
I hate to say it, but Critical Role. I am a fan of their style of play. They have a very well balanced set of playstyles. Even though they are roleplay heavy, they aren't afraid of Combat, Dungeon crawling, or super hard bosses. They respect all aspects of the games they play and find their fun.
I love it when a player
takes a risk and rolls with the results. asks other characters about themselves. gives others space to have their moments.
I think min/maxing...
is totally fine! I completely understand that making a powerful character is part of the fun of a TTRPG.
