Hello, Experienced GM here, obsessed with collaborative storytelling. My heart truly belongs to tabletop gaming. What started as a copy of Blood Bowl that I didn't actually know the rules for later turned into being "Forever DM" to long form D&D 5e campaigns, OSR campaigns, and too many whacky one-shot adventures. Over the last 12 years of being a GM, I've relished the moments I've been able to convince my friends and family to set aside some time and delve into the absurdity of our imaginations.

I became a GM because
I wanted to escape reality with my friends if only for a couple of hours. Away from our jobs, school, the stress that comes with it and instead dive into a world of adventure, heroism, and the fantastical.
My favorite system of all Time is
Dungeons and Dragons 5e, cliche I know. But no system has brought more of my friends to the table than this one. The phenomenon of 5th edition cannot be overstated. I continue to appreciate how many newcomers this system pulls into the world of TTRPG's.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...

How Jim runs games
Ideally, I will try to find a healthy balance of roleplayed social encounters, combat, and exploration. The worlds, characters, and encounters I present players will be a majority of homebrew with accents of improvisation. I prefer homebrew and improv over modular games as I feel it promotes better player agency, is easier to tailor to the players, and also allows the games to be a creative outlet for everyone at the table.
