Greetings adventurers! I'm David, and I’ve been DM’ing for more than 3 decades, with roughly 28k hours on Roll20. I’ve been playing for slightly longer than DM’ing, and love all phases of the game, especially RP, combat, and puzzle solving. I’m a published author as well, and I love me some serious storytelling. I like to find new ways to challenge players to think and RP- some of my puzzles have only been figured out by roleplaying through a given challenge. My driving principle is to provide sessions that allow my players agency, opportunity, and a feeling of having accomplished something in the game world at their conclusion. I respect everyone who wants to have fun in this shared storytelling experience.

How David runs games
So many pillars to enjoy! But I love to focus on storytelling and roleplay, with combats that are a natural part of the storytelling. My puzzles and challenges involve social ones more than math or codebreaking- figure out what drives the enigmatic gnome inventor met at a ball for the dwarven ambassador, rather than break your brain against a substitution puzzle.
