About Evelyn

I first started playing Dungeons and Dragons almost 10 years ago now, when I was 11. At the time I had no idea what I was getting into, but over the years I have fallen in love with this wonderful game, and I wish to share my passion and everything I have learned over the years with you! I generally only run homebrew campaigns set within already established D&D worlds- my favorite being Eberron, but on occasion I will also make entirely new worlds! I use Foundry for running my games, Inkarnate to make my maps, and Discord for calls and music! I look forward to playing with you!

I became a GM because when I first started getting into D&D, I very few friends. I was lonely, and a young kid. D&D gave me a chance to start running games at the lunch table in middle school, and helped me grow socially! Now I have many friends, and a loving community I am proud to be apart of!

When my parents gave me, at the age of 10, the D&D 5e starter kit. I had no one to run the games with yet, so I just read the books over and over again, memorizing them! I did silly one shots with my dad, and slowly got the courage to start running games for friends at the lunch table!

Usually working on writing my sci-fi novel! If not that then, I am painting Warhammer minis, participating in Friday Night Magic, or building spaghetti factories in Satisfactory!

How Evelyn runs games

I love doing a mix of roleplay and combat, though I am definitely better with my combat than roleplay. I'd say my campaigns have a healthy 60/40 balance of both in favor of combat. I will do silly voices so watch out! I certainly love themes of tragedy and the heros losing, so dont expect my campaigns to be easy! I always try to have my players be invested in the world emotionally, wanting them to truly feel for their characters and the stories they go through, so all of my campaigns are long form and require players to stick around!

Locking in with music! Music is my creative drive, it helps fuel my writing and keep me inspired. When I'm in the zone, I am unshakable.

My games focus on...

The story. I am a big creative writer, the strongest aspects of my campaigns are always my stories. I am not a big mechanics person, but I will make sure that every players backstory weaves into the setting and its history, so the players feel apart of a living, breathing world.

When it comes to voices

I do my best!!! They aren't perfect, but i try to have unique voices for each of my NPCs. Its a good comedic add to the campaigns and always fun for me.
