Hi, I’m Elliott. I love telling stories where the players get to interact with and shape the world presented, bringing their unique personality to the table. I’m friendly, easy going and like to keep the table casual and relaxed, except for the dramatic tension 😉. Introducing new players is always awesome, as is playing with veteran players who bring their own knowledge and experience. I studied theatre/arts for a few years, and I’d like to think that helps my roleplaying skills. I’ve been running games for about 25 years now, starting with World of Darkness games in the late 90’s and picking up D&D with 3rd edition. I enjoy running a wide variety of games and systems such as White Wolf / Onyx Path games (Vampire, Mage, Exalted), Mutants and Masterminds, Unisystem games (Buffy/Angel, Armageddon, Witchcraft), D&D (3rd, 4th), Star Trek (LUG, Decipher, custom), Starfinder and many others. The last few years I’ve been focused on Pathfinder (1st, 2nd) and homemade games and settings. If there are any games listed you wanted to play that aren’t scheduled, send me a message! I have a wide range of availability and am happy to accommodate groups as much as possible.

GM Style

Collaborative Storytelling I see my games as a collaborative storytelling experience, where I can bring a story to the table as well as facilitating the stories players wish to tell through their characters. We make a story that’s just for us! Story takes preference over rules. The Heroes Story Player Characters are paramount! This is their story after all. Pre-written adventures are used as a skeleton into which the players stories are interwoven. Choices matter. The world reacts. Variety of Gameplay I try to include a good mix of roleplaying, combat, exploration and non-combat challenges. Not only does this keep things interesting, but allows different characters to shine in different circumstances. Style I like to lean into the genre/theme of each story and character, whether it be action-adventure, mystery, horror, sci-fi or anything in between. I use mood, symbolism, music, handouts and art to reinforce a strong thematic story. NPCs and Setting NPC’s should be evocative. They have hopes, dreams, fears, and secrets. I like to make NPC’s interesting and memorable using distinct personalities, quirks, plot hooks and voices. Setting, likewise should have distinctive qualities and character of it’s own. Tactics and Theatre I will also combine aspects of tactical roleplaying with theatre of the mind style. Whether you enjoy playing out tactical scenarios with your handcrafted character or immersive conversational roleplaying, I’ve got you covered. Tools I use Foundry VTT to run my games. All you need is a browser. Depending on game system, I can provide a full suite of tools – automation, animation, music etc. I can teach foundry alongside a game system, but try to make it as unobtrusive to the play experience as possible, as a tool to assist and enhance rather than distract. LGBTQIA+ Friendly Everyone is welcome at my table. I don’t allow discriminatory or bigoted behaviour. Let’s all be cool and friendly! Safety Safety tools will be discussed in advance and might vary depending on the players and game. It’s important that everyone feel comfortable at the table and in letting me know if any issues arise. My games are for players aged 18+.
