About Spider

I have been a Dungeon Master from AD&D - 5E and experienced the spectrum of other games as well. My experience as a game master includes campaigns using the following systems: All Flesh Must Be Eaten, Call of Cthulhu, Deadlands, D&D, GURPS, King Arthur Pendragon, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, Star Wars (Edge of the Empire), Traveller (Mongoose), Warhammer 40k (Dark Heresy, Only War), World of Darkness (either version) and a bit of this and that.

I got started GMing...

Nearly 30 years ago. I purchased my first D&D product (The Ruins of Undermountain II box) and read it a bajillion times before actually sitting down at a table and running a game. I started with AD&D (brother's friend had a few old books he leant me), and have DMed every iteration of D&D since.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be

D&D 5e, Warhammer 40K: Dark Heresy, and Shadowrun.

How Spider runs games

I like doing voices, including art, and music as often as I can. I am a fan of both roleplaying and tactical combat (though I enjoy combat more as a player than a DM).

Adventurer's doing heroic deeds, even if the reasons behind it are more complicated than that. I expect players to design characters that WANT to go on adventures.

Spider's ideal table

Friendly, good-natured folk playing a game together. I prefer a light-hearted attitude (even if we are playing grimdark). If you can get along with others, share the spot light, and work with the GM and players to make sure the game runs smoothly, you'll be a fine fit.
