About Justin D.
I've been the forever DM Since 1990, mostly D&D but a fair amount of Shadowrun and Pathfinder over the years as well. I write my own campaigns, and tend to use the rules as a base, rather than the end of how a game should run. I focus more on making it fun, so if your fun is strictly by the rules, let me know. I'll get out my barrister robes and wig. I spent 6 years in my 20's in a professional improv group. It was good practice for roleplaying and especially for collaborative play. Sadly I never mastered many accents, but it did give me a lot of perspective for reacting in stressful and hard to imagine situations. Roleplaying and quickly reacting to strange and unique scenarios is where I generally excel, I tend to do a lot of free form and improvisation due to my background. My games tend to be less combat focused, but I can up it by request. Though I prefer theater of the mind, I've become fairly adept at DM'ing on Roll20. I've also gotten quite good at mapping and tend to make a lot of maps for the games I'm DM'ing. I believe the more you put into a game, the more you get out of it. Write a backstory, dive deep into your character, let it wash the world away. For 4 glorious hours you're Grogdar, the fierce barbarian! Office spreadsheets? What's this nonsense!? There's treasure to get and people to save! Forget these TPS'! GROGDAR WANTS BLOOD! I try extremely hard to show respect to everyone at the table, it's never hard to treat people well. Besides DMing, I have many years in customer service. I can resolve conflicts with the best of them, and I'm here to make this game as good as I possibly can for you. If there's something you want to see in a game, or a thing you want to try, let me know. I can accommodate most playstyles and I'm more than willing to adjust to meet your preference.

How Justin D. runs games
-Very comfortable on roll20, prefer discord for voice and video if wanted. -Most familiar with D&D or Pathfinder, most editions. Also well acquainted with Shadowrun and VTM. -chronic mapper, I have way too many, and I'm always making new ones. I also d/l a lot of maps that I see. I'm always trying to make the visuals interesting. -having said that my favourite has always been theater of the mind. -Im only a mildly passable voice actor, I don't have a huge repetoire of accents/voices. I try to make up for it with rich characters that seem real. I have a large catalogue of NPC's and I'm generally good at making them come to life. -I have seen most of it. By this I mean if you've rp'ed enough it all starts to rhyme. I'm always genuinely pleased when a player leaves me stunned with their solution or actions. -I can accommodate most playstyles, just be upfront in what you want from me.
