About Mete0r
Greetings. I'm Mete0r, I'm 25, and I'm an avid roleplaying games player and host. I've been GMing homebrew settings and campaigns for my friends for over 7 years. I figured I should bring my skills to bear here as well. My persona is a mutant dragon (read: my dorky fursona) and I am rather open about the fact I'm a scalie. With that said, my games often involve or promote the participation of anthropomorphic or monstrous characters... because they're just cool. I started with D&D 5e, and have no qualms with running it again for a group in need... but I must admit, I prefer PF2e for most of my tabletop gaming. I run on the Forge, and JUST the Forge, please. Love that VTT too much to deal with the headache of roll20.

I became a GM because
I wanted to voice scary monsters and make epic fights for my friends to overcome.
I got started GMing...
Rolling the D&D5e beginner box for friends... on Skype.
My favorite books are

How Mete0r runs games
I will introduce you to my style of play by presenting some familiar anime and movies. I enjoy the deliberate, classical, and immersive dungeon ecologies and dungeon survival of Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon. I love the tactical and clever enemies and bosses found in the Shin Megami Tensei series. And I adore the fantastical, gripping, and dark worlds of Vampire Hunter D, Berserk, and Wizardry.

I once ran a session...
Where the party went to an upside-down castle beneath the earth, over an underground ocean, to attend a court case determining their innocence in accidentally bringing a deranged cultist to the upside-down city that attempted to blanket the populace in a vile plague.
My favorite trope is...
When the players make a base of operations in or out of the dungeon.
My games focus on...
Survival, tactics, battle, exploration, deduction, base building, and the establishment of the players as a force in the world.
Mete0r's ideal table
I prefer to run an immersive and tactical style game where the players are frequently fighting, managing and expending their resources, and contending with living worlds that must also weigh the costs of dealing with the players. I enjoy dark/horror/space fantasy settings, so players who have an appreciation for the gnarly, the rugged, and the destructive may enjoy my table. I like to tell my players exactly how badly they've destroyed their foes.

I love it when a player
Goes out of their way sometimes to ask what another player thinks about a situation.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Do things 'for the meme', especially at the expense of their fellow players.
I think min/maxing...
Has its place. Pulling my ear and begging for special concessions from the rules to your characters benefit is just going to make me grouchy, but if you have followed the rules to make your kitted out high-fantasy SWAT team member, by all means, have them absolutely demolish the challenges I set.
