About Celeste
Hello, I'm Celeste! I'm queer, nonbinary, trans femme (they/them), and I've been playing in and running TTRPGs with my friends for about 6 years. I also have a lot of experience facilitating TTRPG therapy groups, and really enjoy creating spaces for people to explore different ways of being in the context of role playing whether that's in a therapy group or not. I also love stories, and co-creating them with a group of people is my favorite way to experience them. My main goal when I'm GMing is to facilitate the table making a fun and interesting story together, and I deeply appreciate players at the table who are as committed to that goal as I am. I've enjoyed all kinds of fantasy and sci-fi media since I was a kid and love to co-create stories in those types of settings with others. I'm particularly interested in running narrative focused games with more role play, but also enjoy some amount of tactical and cinematic combat. I love more collaborative games that involve players making up some information about the world and giving me opportunities to build on their contributions. This also lends itself to more player driven, sandbox type campaigns, which suit my style well. It's important to me to maintain an inclusive and respectful atmosphere at my tables. I won't allow for any racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc at my tables. Also, I'll never use AI for my listings or in my games.

My favorite system of all Time is
The Wildsea! I love how evocative the setting is (post-apocalypse where the apocalypse was the rapid growth of trees, leading to people living on mountaintops and pieces of solid ground resting on the canopy, and the PCs are sailors on ships that sail on the tree canopy) and how collaborative it is!
How Celeste runs games
I most enjoy running narrative focused game with lots of improv and a good amount of role play. I like combat that adds meaningfully to the story and feels cinematic and tense. I value collaborative story telling that involves giving players opportunities to contribute to the world building. I also enjoy adding political intrigue and faction dynamics depending on the game/setting.

My games focus on...
collaborative worldbuilding/storytelling and tense/cinematic combat.
Celeste's ideal table
The players that fit best at my table are ones who are willing to make bold decisions for their character and get excited about the consequences that may follow. Players who enjoy having more narrative agency and playing in a more collaborative game, with opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the worldbuilding, will also have a good time at my tables. I tend to like a spooky horror vibe, but think there's still a place for levity and some goofiness in horror campaigns. As a queer and trans person, fostering inclusivity at my tables is important to me, and I love to facilitate spaces where people feel able to explore their identities or different ways of being through role play.

I love it when a player
takes a huge swing that is very dramatic and surprises/excites me, especially when it gives me an opportunity to introduce a juicy narrative twist.
I think metagaming...
can be a good thing in the right circumstance. Something like using OOC knowledge of a monster's stats to "win" an encounter isn't usually fun, but I enjoy game mechanics that keep the meta channel between players and the GM open to allow for more collaboration (like Devil's Bargains in BitD).
