I became a GM because
I enjoy collaborative storytelling and designing fun and interesting mechanics for players to enjoy.
How Brianna runs games
I do not use generative AI text or art for my content, and I expect the same of my players. I am primarily a Rules Sage, Taxi Driver, and Tinkerer GM, which means I know the rules well, primarily craft situations rather than solutions, and I love creating fun and engaging homebrew mechanics (where appropriate). I enjoy facilitating interesting character dynamics and story arcs and giving players the space and opportunity for fun roleplay, then seeing where the story goes. My games tend to lean more towards roleplay with the occasional tactical combat. However, I'm also not afraid to confront the players with the foreseeable consequences of their actions. I expect players to be active collaborators in the ongoing stories, especially when it comes to their character. Tell me what your character's goals, drives, and aspirations are, and I will weave the setting, plot, and NPCs to help support the characters in their personal journeys.

I deal with rules issues by...
working with the player(s) to find a solution that makes sense within the narrative.
My games focus on...
collaborative storytelling, interesting character arcs, and fun mechanics.
Rules are...
important but not the end-all-be-all. I use the rules as a tool and scaffolding upon which the narrative sits. If a player is unsure how to make something work within the rules, I frequently will work with them to determine how best to represent what they want to do.
Brianna's ideal table
I do not use generative AI text or art for my content, and I expect the same of my players. My ideal table is highly collaborative, where players are not afraid to come up with ideas to contribute to the ongoing narrative. I expect players to tell me what they want to see in the game and why it would contribute to the story for their character, setting, or overall story.
Featured Prompts
I love it when a player
takes the initiative to dive into the lore, investigate mysteries, or ask for what they want. To me, that shows that the player is invested in the story and excited to see what comes next.
I think metagaming...
can be ok in its proper place. However, I also expect players to be able to separate in-character knowledge from out-of-character knowledge, especially around things that we have discussed as a group that the characters would not know (e.g. discussions about character or campaign arcs).
My table is not the place for...
hate speech and bigotry of any kind, including racism, queerphobia, ableism, xenophobia, etc.
